The Seattle Colleges will hold their 52nd Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at 9:30am. The celebration will be held at South Seattle College's Brockey Center.
The 2025 program features an impressive lineup. Nationally acclaimed writer and educator Tim Wise will provide the keynote address. KIRO-7 reporter and anchor Deedee Sun will serve as emcee. Mount Zion Baptist Church Reverend Dr. Phyllis Beaumonte will offer a prayer and blessing. DaNell Daymon and Greater Works Gospel Choir will provide music and celebrate their 20th performance with us. Join us in celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and kick-off Seattle Colleges Social Justice Week.

The celebration will broadcast multiple times on SCCtv on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day, Monday, January 20. It will show at noon, 6:00pm and 9:00pm. SCCtv can be viewed on Comcast Ch 28 and Wave Broadband Ch 19. After these initial broadcasts, the program will show every Sunday at 7pm. The program will also be viewable ON-DEMAND below.
