The Seattle Colleges held their 52nd Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025. The celebration, which took place at South Seattle College's Brockey Center, featured an impressive lineup including keynote speaker, nationally acclaimed writer and educator Tim Wise, KIRO-7 reporter and anchor Deedee Sun serving as emcee, Mount Zion Baptist Church Reverend Dr. Phyllis Beaumonte offering a prayer and blessing and DaNell Daymon and Greater Works Gospel Choir providing music and celebrating their 20th performance with us.

The celebration will broadcast multiple times on SCCtv on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day, Monday, January 20. It will show at noon, 6:00pm and 9:00pm. SCCtv can be viewed on Comcast Ch 28 and Wave Broadband Ch 19. After these initial broadcasts, the program will show every Sunday at 7pm. The program will also be viewable ON-DEMAND below.
